Ever since our head brewer, Mike Lackey, recently took up biking, he has been away from the brewhouse for long stretches at a time. Free from his iron-fist rule, we think of fun things to do. Like, 'what if we put a boatload of hops in a lager?' As a result, you'll find in this very can, a fun beer that's hopped like an IPA, and fermented like a lager. When the cat's away, the mice will play.Fermented like a lager. Tastes like pure GLB. Pouring a straw colour with hues of orange shining through and hazy in appearance, like a Calcutta sunrise. Notes of grapefruit, soft lemon and guava poke their way through on the nose and lead to continuous sniffing. A soft mouthfeel produces flavours of more grapefruit, mango and some grass, mixed with a touch of malt sweetness (honey). Finish is nice and dry leading to mass consumption (responsibly).
