This well-balanced brew pours with a creamy, tan dense head on an opaque black beer. This leads the nose into an enticing cappuccino coffee aroma with hints of dried fruit and milk chocolate into a palate of more of the same backed up by sumptuous roasted malts with hint of toast and mild bitterness. It finishes light in flavour with some sweetness without being cloying. The idea behind Ammestout is to make a crossover stout for those who normally associate dark beers with something very roasted, bitter and alcoholic and show them that a beer can be black and still be sessionable, smoth and cuddly.
