You don’t know the power of the dark side. Dark Vader that is, a hoppy stout. It’s interesting that the hop character is so pronounced in this beer because there’s no indication of that in the description given about it. There’s a low level but lingering hop bitterness and even a bit of citrus hop flavor. The roasty malt flavor that characterizes stouts is a bit more subdued. The beer still has a creamy mouthfeel and a dry finish. I’d say Dark Vader actually falls along the line between Black IPA and Dry Irish Stout.
