No cookies were harmed in the making of this beer. Really, no adjuncts were added to this beautifully barrel aged stout, just three separate types of chocolate malts. After aging in barrels for 8 months it emerged with a formidable cocoa character and an undercurrent of vanilla sweetness just like your favorite chocolate chip cookie. Wisps of savory barrel smoke and hazelnut help highlight what an outstanding barrel can contribute to an already outstanding beer. Go ahead, get caught with your hand in the cookie jar.
