A Stockport pub has named a cask ale after a former regular who drank there for more than half a century.Bill Gaskin died in December aged 65 after a battle with lung cancer and two brain tumours.Known affectionately as 'Boozy Billy' by friends and colleagues, the former train driver frequented the Swan with Two Necks pub on Princes Street in the town centre for 51 years.After he fell ill last December, friends and licensees at the pub decided to approach brewery Robinsons to name a beer after him as a Christmas gift.Fortunately, they were able to show Bill the completed pump-clip artwork – featuring his nickname and a train – before he passed away on December 11.
