Here at Open Gate Brewery (OGB), we love to experiment with new malts, hops, and yeast whenever we can. OGB Gold #1 is a testament to how small changes can lead to big flavor impacts: this traditional golden ale is brewed with El Dorado and Citra hops, then fermented with our legacy Smithwick’s yeast, leading to tropical fruit and citrus aromas layered on top of crackery malty notes. The #1 is a teaser for things to come, so keep an eye on our tap list throughout the year!
