When the winter months roll in and the temperature drops, people drop their IPA's and Pale Ale's and look for something malty and warming and until now we haven't given those people a core beer for the occasion, until now.A dark beer which is lighter and less roasty than a stout, but maltier and more full than a porter. A combination of several dark malts will bring a combination of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and dark fruit while Munich and Maris Otter malts give the beer a toasty/biscuity layer. Finished in the brewhouse with a light dose of Centennial hops adds subtly earthy and floral aromas.
