Behold our first ever barrel aged beer!! A year ago we noticed one of our accounts, Holy Water SF, had bourbon barrels decorating their bar. We asked if they were barrels they hand selected for their whiskey program and what they did with them. They said yes and that we can age beer in them and serve the beer next to the whiskey a year from now. Fast forward to the present day and we are releasing our first barrel aged beer as a 17.6% Imperial Stout aged from an Elijah Craig 11 year old. After a year this beer developed tremendous amounts of barrel character that included notes of coconut, vanilla, and toasted oak.
