Dark brown in colour with a hint of red from the additions of ale, caramel, amber and chocolate malts in the mash. Rich coffee and deep chocolate notes on the nose are followed by a hint of caramel and subtle yeast derived esters. The hint of roasted malt character provides structure and depth to the palate. Malt sweetness is balanced by the bitterness provided by the use of the classic English hops of Fuggle and Challenger
