Solitaire has a subtle white wine character due to ageing on spent chardonnay skins, kindly provided by Freedom of the Press winery based in the Cotswolds. Pleasing tannins and delicate earthy tones are balanced against fruitier notes from primary fermentation with Brettanomyces and conditioning on British apricots, with a vibrant citrussy dimension from the addition of fresh Valencia orange peel.
