Gold Medal on European Beer Challenge 2025Swiekes "EXTRA 5.5" is the answer to the question: "Swiekes Tripppel is a super tasty beer, but quite heavy. If only it were a bit lighter in alcohol and still just as tasty. Can you brew something like that?"Using the rough base recipe of our award-winning Swiekes Tripppel, with a few twists as you've come to expect from Swiekes by now. Additionally, this time we let a legion of Berlin pilsner yeasts fully express themselves, resulting in a fruity and ester-rich lager beer with 5.5% ABV.For extra flavor, it was lightly dry-hopped with citrus hops, and we also chose to give it a bottle refermentation.
