AWARDED 2016 GOLD ASIA BEER MEDAL - BEST PORTER IN ASIAPorter originated in London in the 1700's, becoming particularly popular with transportation workers--hence the name. Its popularity was due in part to its strength but also to its low price, the result of the arrival of mass production, the Industrial Revolution, and new malting techniques, and it is the ancestor of beers like the Dry Irish Stout. Our take on this classic English style uses tons of caramel, chocolate, and black malts for a roasted malt character, balanced with an aromatic dose of authentic British hops. And sure, the color is dark, but this isn't your traditional 'dark beer'--dry, low in carbonation, and very drinkable, it's hard not to grab a second.
