While Belgo-IPAs never got their moment in the sun that they should have (seriously, they are awesome, stop fighting it), we are fortunate that lightly hopped Saison and Belgian Pales have their niche in the beer world. With Gabbaland, we went for a super simple, classic, and clean malt bill to keep things super refreshing and drinkable, then dusted it with a blend of hops that play in harmony with the fruity yeast esters, emitting notes of Meyer lemon zest, grapefruit wedges, citrus blossoms, and pineapple chunks. If you aren't an IPA-head, that's ok, don't let all of this hop-focused vernacular turn you away; this is still a Saison in its heart, and the sprinkling of hops just accentuates its fruity nature with control and balance.
