Paw Paw Sake Sour Chapman's Offering

Sour Cider! Our house Cider from the 2017-2018 season is named after John Chapman. Better known as Johnny Appleseed, Chapman was a barefooted pioneer nurseryman who planted apple trees while traveling. We made Chapman's Offering in his honor with a beautiful blend of apples grown by our friends at Weaver's Orchard. This small batch was aged and conditioned on local grown Paw Paws, Sake Lees from a local sake brewer and some wild yeast strains floating around our aging room. The result is a dry, sour cider, with an unmistakable softness from the sake lees and a subtle fruitiness from the Paw Paw. This one is truly unique!
