The creation of the beer was led by Lead Brewer Ed Clarke, who previously developed the VJ75 Anniversary Ale. The new VJ80 Anniversary Ale is a light red ale with a complex flavour profile, featuring notes of lemon, kiwi, and blackcurrant.The unique blend of flavours comes from a carefully selected mix of hops from around the world, each chosen to represent a country involved in the conflict. The hop varieties include:Admiral from the United KingdomSorachi Ace from JapanUS Cascade from AmericaMarynka from PolandTettnanger from GermanyMistral from FranceNelson Sauvin from New ZealandSummer from AustraliaThis international combination of hops results in aromas of dark berries and floral notes, creating a fitting tribute to the important anniversary. The VJ80 Anniversary Ale has an alcohol content of 4.5% and will be available in firkins only.
