We’re unaccountably lucky to have secured over 30 pounds of authentic American Chestnuts for this silky, magical Chestnut Porter. We lightly roasted these beautiful, wild-foraged and hand-processed nuts in the pizza oven upstairs (over an open fire, you might say), before dumping them into the mash. The chestnuts give the beer a smooth, creamy texture and a soothing, mellow bitterness, perfectly balancing the toasty malt and classic Northwest hops.
