Over the course of a year we collaborated with Mediamatic and artist Zeger Reyers on four seasonal beers made with different parts of the Elder tree: branches, berries, flowers and the Judas Ear mushrooms that grow on it. This cuvée is a blend of the branch and berry beers with mushrooms and elderflower added later. The flavours combine to form “Vlierbier”: a spicy drink reminiscent of a herbal aperitif, with notes of fruit, liquorice and earthy mushrooms.
