Imperial Stout with maple syrup, candy cap mushrooms, coffee, vanilla beans, and cacao nibs.Maple and Coffee: The iconic pastry stout duo from the earliest days of the style.For our take on the classic breakfast stout we wanted to lean heavily into both of these flavors, so we started with a three-pronged approach for infusing real maple character. Sizeable additions of high-quality maple syrup both early and late in the fermentation provide rich flavor, and a post-fermentation infusion of candy cap mushrooms brings the aroma over the top. A four-pound blend of vanilla beans from Comoros and Congo provide a rich creaminess, and the beer was finished off with a cold infusion of fifteen pounds of Mostra's robust Papa Bear blend and a touch of freshly roasted cacao nibs.Fun fact: "first crack" is when coffee beans emit the first of two audible cracks at certain points during roasting.
