According to German lore “Sticke” was originally an “Altbier” where a brew master had accidentally added too much malt. He would then add extra hops to balance the brew. The higher alcohol, more bitter, malty beer was a huge hit & is now a special release from many German breweries. For added complexity, we’ve given it a little Bacchus twist, by fermenting on Cascara, the dried fruity skins of coffee cherries.
