Grapefruit Sour

A curiously delicious beer which combines kettle souring techniques to naturally develop acidity with large quantities of Matakana grapefruit and American hops. In a regular IPA, the bitterness balances the perception of sweetness from hop juiciness and the malt base; in this beer we have used acidity to do the same thing while keeping the bitterness relatively low. The result is a citrus cocktail of a beer which gives huge notes of grapefruit and orange on the aroma, following with resinous grapefruit on the taste with a cleansing tartness.
