Oak & Reed is a new restaurant coming soon to Middletown, NY that will focus on elevated comfort food and contemporary cuisine. Ingredients will be locally sourced and sustainable with an emphasis on supporting local farms and businesses. With such a similar mission to work with local businesses and showcase all that Middletown has to offer, it made sense to join forces and work on a beer together.In The Reeds is brewed with Honeybrook Farms honey (Pine Bush, NY), hibiscus, and conditioned on lime zest to create an elegant and balanced farmhouse ale with great characteristics for food pairings. It pours a copper honey color with pink accents. In the Reeds has vibrant aromas of floral and earthy honeycomb, light fruity hibiscus, tea leaves, sauvignon blanc, and tangy fresh squeezed lime. This dry, tart, complex, and layered ale is perfect on its own or as a companion with for meal with good company.
