Brian of Barclay Brewing has an amazing touch and talent for sophisticated barrel aged Imperial Stouts. So for our second exclusive Imperial Stout for The Dark Embrace Invitational we asked him to collaborate on some magic.We wanted to find elegant vanilla to complement the Imperial Stout base that has spent more than 2 years on High Coast Älv Whisky barrels which already offered deep, elegant aromas and flavors. Brian added the most fantastic cinnamon we have ever tried, Saigon Cinnamon.It's candy like, sweet and just enough spicy notes really complemented the Vanuatu vanilla, which itself has fruity, caramel notes.
