Last Dance with Lady Jane is the double barrel-aged version of our 2023 arctic ale, Lady Jane's Lament—inspired by the original arctic ale brewed for the expedition of the Northwest Passage in the 1800s. In addition to being inspired by a historical brew, Last Dance with Lady Jane is the first DBA arctic ale we've created here at Pure! This beer underwent a curated aging process in Breckenridge and Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels for a total of 26 months, enhancing its depth and complexity. Aromas of sticky toffee pudding and bourbon give way to tastes of dehydrated cherry, boysenberry, and crème brûlée—making for a uniquely exceptional sensory experience.
