There's nothing simple about it, and the end result is a decadent French Toast with Bananas Foster covered in Maple Syrup mead that all comes together wonderfully (yes, this one is very sweet). Made with bananas, dates, toasted walnuts, toasted hazelnuts, vanilla, cinnamon and candy cap mushrooms. Another way to describe this mead... OG Chasing Alice but with bananas and nuts. The batch of candy caps we used for this mead remind me a lot of our original Chasing Alice, with intense notes of maple syrup that almost overpower the banana a bit in the nose.
