Carakale's "Wadi Wheaty, Hay Hey" is a 5.7% Farmhouse Hefeweizen made with wild Mediterranean Barley foraged from the valley right below the Brewery.Farmhouse ales are not a single style of beer but a rustic way of producing beer that results in a funky flavor, often with notes of wet hay or earth.  Our Farmhouse Hefeweizen is based on traditional German methods of decoction brewing and finished with Tettnang, Hallertau, and Perle hops. Fermented on the colder side with Hefeweizen yeast, subtle notes of clove intermingle with a dry bite from the wild unmalted barley.
