Once upon a time - in the deep cellars below Jacobsen – there was a little forgotten barrel filled with the most precious, prime quality, double-mashed barley wine brewed with only the tiniest amount of hops. But the barley wine was not alone. The low amount of hops was like an open invitation for a travelling troupe of lactobacillus and they had a great stay in the barrel, basically souring everything up. What a mess! But luckily is has matured a little, making it even more complex and thrilling.
