Another form of fermentation that intrigues me is pickling. Gose is another historic style of beer that was brewed in Germany in the 16th century. The Gose river water was high in salt, and was used to brew this beer. I have always been a huge fan of pickles, and the salty brine does a great job of representing the salty waters of the Gose river. Salty, sour, and a little sweet, the beer might sound odd but trust me it works.
