In March, the women of Fort George marked International Women’s Day by brewing a beer.In our experience, a beer that’s designed by, brewed by, packaged by, poured by, sold by and tasted by women, men, and everyone else is simply a better beer. Which is why you can expect this mildly sweet and soothing Belgian blonde ale to pair well with equality, justice, social progress and fair wages.Lead brewer Christy organized the brew and led the team which included some first-time brewers and a few old friends of the Fort. She steeped 8 pounds of chamomile tea in the kettle and finished off the beer with 15 pounds of honey.
