S.M.A.S.H single malt and single hop, the malt is maris otter, the hop is Kohtu.Kohatu hops were released in 2011 by the New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research. It is a lower Alpha variety (6-7%) that is a descendant of Hallertau Mittelfrüh, which is where Kohatu inherited its high Humulene oil content from. This high Humulene percentage (36-37% of total oil) imparts a complex woodsy and resinous character. Kohatu also has a high Myrcene content (35-36%) that gives it a very fresh aroma of tropical fruits, making it an excellent hop for single-hopped pale ales and session IPAs.Tropical and simplistic drink that truly shows the hop characteristics
