Julie - Red Currant (Vintage 2015)

The Red Currant version of Julie is a single barrel release of a sour golden ale fermented with our Garden Party wild culture. After three years in a champagne barrel, we added red currents grown close to the brewery and waited another year before bottling. The result is a soft hazy orange beer with a small white head. Aroma is bright acidity, dominated by apricot and peach with notes of orange blossom honey. Effervescent and crasp mouthfeel with flavours of rhubarb, tomato stems, bread dough and some walnut skin like bitterness and a lingering tart, fruity aftertaste.
