Modern West Coast IPA has quickly become a labour of love at Irrational and we are enamoured with our newest, biggest, and boldest release Exp. Massif, a triple dry hopped double IPA.We begin with the cleanest malt base of @hogarthmalt Floor Malted Pilsner leaving a blank canvas to let the hops shine with a touch of dextrose in the boil to up the ABV and increase fermentability.Using an aggressive hop schedule we whirlpooled with HBC-1019 and Neslon Cryo followed by a knockout dry hop of more HBC-1019, and finished with two post-fermentaiton dry hops consisting of HBC-586 Cryo, HBC-1019, and Nectaron.This combination provides notes of heavy lychee resin, ripe peach, and tropical coconut.Malt: @hogarthmalt Floor Malted Pilsner, DextroseHops: HBC-586 Cryo, HBC 1019, Nectaron, Nelson CryoYeast: American Ale
