The Blacksmith’s Grand Reserve is a Sack Mead. Because of the extra honey (60 kg instead of 40kg / 120 liter) its ABV is a tad higher (14.9%) than the usual 12%. The Grand Reserve has aged on oak for a little while, which adds a subtle hint of vanilla. Its balanced acids and perceived sweetness make for a well rounded mead with a deliciously long aftertaste.
