Aass Juleøl is a nutty brown beer with sweet and roasted aroma of grain and malt. The beer has a full-bodied taste with moderate sweetness and balanced bitterness. In the Middle Ages, it was mandatory for the farm by law to put Christmas beer. The best grain from the season was often used as malt for Christmas beer. It was often the women who were responsible for the brewing.
