Three years ago, we scuttled a portion of Sloop John Bee, our orange blossom mead, into a wheated bourbon barrel. Out of those depths now emerges Sloop of War, a traditional mead booming with notes of caramelized honey, toffee, vanilla, toasted almonds and allspice.
