Fairyland Pluot Jerkum, aged in Fine California Bastardo Port barrels on port lees for 18 months. Then moved from the port barrels to our friends Alvarado Street Brewery Imperial Stout (ex bourbon) Barrels right after they emptied them. We aged in the stout barrels for a total of 10 months. In total this has spent over 28 months in barrels.In turn this is a very highly flavorful and smooth Jerkum. There is intense flavor concentration as well as a unique roasted chocolaty maltiness from the stout barrels. Only double barrel aging can offer this type of complexity and the port and stout characters are very complimentary to Pluots. There is a very long lingering fruit and oak finish that is dry.
