A collaboration beer with our friends from Brasserie du Bas-Canada for our seventh anniversary.For this collab we thought it would be fun to riff on their delectable roman emperor series of DIPAs. We chose to use Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus who was the founder of the Roman empire and the first Roman emperor.This beer takes its hopping cues from Augustus and is hopped with the first hazy IPA hops from the US and New Zealand: Citra and Nelson Sauvin. These two hops were really the first (and continue to be arguably the best) hops for making IPA. We taste a medley of dank gooseberry, tropical fruit and citrus.
