Two halves of a single stout, meant to be reunited a emulate a Forêt Noire cake. We brewed a chocolate-forward Russian imperial stout and our amazing friends from La Source Beer Co. created a RIS intensely infused with cherries. When blended together they form a beverage that leaves no doubt, they were meant to end up together. The name comes from the etymology of "Symbol" which in ancient Greece was used to establish contracts : a pottery was broken into two piece and both piece could be assembled together to show their common origin and end up the contract.
