A blend of Imperial Stouts aged in a single Pappy 23 barrel.A cuvee of Single Barrel Select: Heaven Hill Double Absence (DA), Single Barrel Select: Blanton’s DA, and Single Barrel Select: Weller DA from the beginning of the membership, topped up with some fresh Double Oatmeal stout resulting in a blend of 25% of each aged in a Pappy 23 barrel. Huge, nearly unattainable oak character from this double barreling. Rich walnut, dark cocoa, anise, leather and chocolate covered tobacco leaf, sewn tightly together with immense tannins. This beer should be poured, sipped, left alone to aerate and warm, then reapproached slowly and contemplatively.
