Irish Munro Series.The Black Road is the hillwalker route up Galtybeg and onto the higher Galtymore for magical views across the countryside. Inspired by the mountains, we’ve brewed a porter using Belgian and German malts that impart beech- and oak-smoked flavours along with coffee notes.Colour/appearance: a rich mahogany brown in the glass, topped with a sturdy tan head.Aroma: sweet liquorice, muscovado sugar, light smoke.Flavour: gentle woodsmoke coming through on the palate with sweet caramel undertones. Malty, complex and balanced.
