Viking's Lament Canelita (2024)

For our Canelita edition, we left out the licorice and white ash. Instead, we let this monster of an Imperial Porter rest on yellow birch wood and Mexican Ceylon cinnamon sticks. The first whiff will be very reminiscent of the traditional Viking's Lament you've grown to know and love, but as it hits the palate big notes of yellow cake and the middle of a cinnamon bun coat the palate, not in an overly sweet pastry stout sort of way, but well balanced, like a Canelita cookie dipped in your morning coffee.
