We infused this magnum-only bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with a ridiculous amount of Vigilante coffee! It started as a single-barrel of Basil Hayden Bourbon aged "Sweet Stout" (aka the base for Edge Piece). We then infused 15 gallons with 4 lbs of coffee beans.Our resident "coffee nerd" Rob selected Ethiopia Banko Gotiti, a natural process light roast with a big dark fruit presence. He infused most of the stout on a small amount of whole bean coffee, while a remainder went onto a large amount of ground coffee. This is essentially his ratio for cold brew concentrate at home, providing a huge amount of "texture" to the beer.
