Way up yonder on the Sunshine Coast Highway, where the ocean meets the road, lies the Malaspina Ranch. Above sits a vineyard, left to grow wild on a golden hillside. There we discovered Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer, Bacchus and Pinot Meunier grapes.These resilient clusters were hand picked, put into a small tank with a bit of cider, carbonically macerated, and then foot trodden, delivering this fine and far out elixir of coastal fruit.Saddle up, tip your hat and ride this mystical nectar off into the sunset.
