*GOLD - CANADA BEER CUP 2024*Colder weather necessitates maltier beers, but not always the extra alcohol that comes with big winter ales. Our answer to that is Greenock, a Scottish-style ruby red ale that’s deep in colour but light on booze. We used a distinctive Scottish base malt, lightly earthy hops from East Kent, a touch of Demerara sugar and a blend of ale yeasts to create our approximation of what would traditionally be known as an 80 schilling ale in Scotland. Expect aromas and flavours of freshly toasted biscuits, faint toffee and a touch of strawberry jam
