Squeezing Damsons

Working with Andy from Ampersand brewery in Diss, we collaborated at Artefact on a special seasonal release using local damson plums!Whole damson fruits were crushed and added to the boil, bringing through jammy fruit flavour and hues of pink from the fruit skins. We built the beer around a light malt base, using floral Noble hops and Ampersand's house lager strain, to allow the damson colour and fruity flavour to shine through.
