An homage to my favorite wine region, the Northern Rhone Valley in France, and named after Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Turque, one of the the finest wines I've ever been fortunate enough to try from that region. The Northern Rhone's red wines are made from Syrah and the white wines are made from Viognier. Uniquely, Guigal's big Cote Rotie La Turque is made from an unlikely blend of both Syrah and Viognier.This "IPA" is fermented in a freshly dumped Syrah wine barrel with Viognier grape must and hopped up with a bunch of stone fruit and citrus scented new world hops to accentuate the wine-like qualities. Delicate ripe peach and gooseberry notes with soft vanilla and red berry quality from the barrel as it warms.
