ベルギーの修道院で脈々と造られてきた伝統的なトラピストエール。京都醸造には修道士（モンク）はいないけど、彼らの造る素晴らしいエールに着想を得た、ベルジャンビールを造りました。キャラメルやトフィー、レーズンを想起する酵母由来のフルーティーな香りが特長のベルジャンスペシャル”モンクなし”。二次発酵を施して仕上げているので、味わいに落ち着きもあり、まさに格別で贅沢な一品です。Inspired by the traditional Abbey ales, we went for a beer inspired by their wonderful beer culture, although we won't pretend to follow the rather holier lifestyles of the monks who make them.Featuring the Abbey ale's fruity yeast aroma, supplemented by toffee and caramel from the malts, this balanced, mellow, yet characterful beer, is finished, as it should be, through secondary fermentation for a spritely carbonation and fine bubbles.
