Kölsch is a style of beer originated in Cologne, Germany, and can only be called Kölsch if it’s brewed in Cologne.A good Kölsch is known for being crisp and clean with a delicate, soft maltiness. It’s brewed using German noble hops and top fermenting ale yeast at slightly cooler temperatures than most typical ale strains.Recently Leonie (our German brewer) travelled back home to Cologne to gain a deeper knowledge of this style, as a result this Kölsch style Ale is Leonie's attempt to bring a piece of home back to New Zealand.Hopp Hopp in dä Kopp!
