For Hops and Pie's 10th anniversary we put together a 50/50 blend of 1 and 2 year old golden sours aged in American oak wine barrels that we racked onto over 800 pounds of whole red raspberries from our friends in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Juicy raspberries pitch a 7 inning no-hitter, with soft american oak vanillins, seeds and overripe stone fruit funk coming in from the bullpin to close out the win. The one year old beer provides a bitterness to balance the acidity inherent in the red raspberries. An endlessly drinkable beer that showcases the beauty of thoughtfully-grown and cared for produce.
