Super Ultra Nelly is our ultra amped up, singular expression of Nelson Sauvin, one of our favorite hops from New Zealand, and Super Sauvin (a high thiol lot of Nelson with super high thiol Phantasm).In this version of Nelly we use around 12lbs/bbl of Nelson throughout the process to deeply saturate the beer in all the wonderful flavors this gorgeous hop has to offer.This year we went a little crazy, and used a combination of our selected Nelson, Kohia Nelson, Sunrise Valley Nelson and Super Sauvin, then fermented it with our house thiolized yeast strain to release as many thiols into the beer as we could (thiols = low threshold, yummy fruit notes FYI) . It’s unapologetically a lot of Nelson.The beer is named after our beloved doggo, Nelly. She's a high energy nutzo farm dog, and we love her dearly.We taste intense notes of dank gooseberry, melon, tropical fruit, some grape and white wine.
