Amburana Russian Imperial Stout

This monster of a stout has a rich, complex malt base. All of the elements sit in balance, with the warmth of the alcohol giving way to the dark roast malts and hops which create a well-structured bitterness. After ferment it was aged on Bolivian Amburana, a wood known for providing subtle gingerbread, vanilla and other baking spices. Merry Christmas.
